3T Vola Team / Ltd Armrest Wedges are designed to wedge the armrests up at an angle specifically on 3T Vola Team or Vola Ltd TT/Triathlon carbon aero handlebars using the standard 3T extension/armrest mounts. The inclined armrest angle produced, provides more comfort when adopting a high hands or 'mantis' position.

The inclined forearm or 'mantis' position has been repeatedly shown to not only improve aerodynamic performance (lower CdA), but also increase comfort and be more sustainable, so can be faster and well suited for all distances of riding from the 1 kilometer 'kilo' time trial and track pursuits, all the way up to a full Ironman triathlon bike leg.
 
If a high hands position is adopted without also wedging the armrests up at an appropriate angle, an uncomfortable small pressure point at the rear edge of the armrest pads can be created. Using a suitable angle wedge under the armrest cups distributes this weight more evenly over the full length of the armrest pad.
 
These wedges come as pairs in an 8 degree angle, which is optimised for using the Ward Ergonomic Armrests in a UCI legal position on the 3T Vola Team or Vola Limited handlebars.
 
3T Vola Armrest Wedges use a 25 mm spaced M5 fit pattern, optimised for use on the 3T Vola Team or Vola Limited handlebars. However this could also be used on another set-up utilising a 25 mm spaced M5 mounting with front-rear screw orientation.
 
Plastic contruction which has been thoroughly tested since 2018 and over-engineered to avoid the issues seen on plastic wedges from other brands. Aluminium or Carbon Fibre is not necessary for this load case. These 3T Vola Team / Ltd Armrest Wedges have been ridden to Bronze and Silver medals in the Team Pursuit at the British Cycling National Track Cycling Championships.
